If you are ever at a loose end in Bangkok this 2 day tour is a must. There are plenty of operators so most hotels or travels agents will point you in the right direction.

The Bridge over the River Kwai, a night on a floating boat hotel, Elephant rides, Floating markets and as always fabulous food. All for around £45. The pictures I have don’t capture the romance of the tour.

All the tourist traps in a day but they are worth doing. For £5 a moto (motorcyle rider) will take you to the Royal Palace, the National Museum, the Killing Fields and down to the waterfront for dinner. Another £5 and a you can get a boat trip on the Mekong river.

Our favorite part of “The Lizard” was this little known gem of a place called Kynance Cove.

Only 2 weeks to go (12th May 20008) and we shall be in India. I’m feeling hungry just thinking about it.
