Apologies for mentioning this just after the festive holidays, but the ACF pro plugin lifetime deal is due to end in “early 2020”.  I’m not an affiliate. I’m just a big fan of this plugin.

I was in two minds about this. I’m completely behind Elliot Condon’s decision to finally charge subcription, but equally I would like to see my friends being able to the get the amazing deal I got.

The price on unlimited sites is going from $100 AUD for life…

…to $249 US per year. Quite a leap!

The free version of ACF  is, of course,  brilliant, but some of you may know from my Beaver Builder (Beaver Themer)  videos that I have been greatly empowered by some of the features of the Pro version.

This would mostly apply to other page builders that adopted a theme builder like Beaver Themer (ie Oxygen, Elementor,  Brizy and Divi).

The use of Gallery Fields shows up here and in other places. 

Perhaps most interestingly (in this age of the new Gutenberg WordPress editor)  is the ACF Blocks. A PHP-based framework for developing custom block types.

Simply. it offers us mere mortals without advanced JavaScript skills a way to be able to create our own Gutenberg blocks.
